Songpa Hostel

Good location.

The entire property was dirty, even the sheets on the bed had stains all over them. No air con, felt like a sauna inside of the room. Didn’t even sleep as I felt uncomfortable all night. You could hear people outside of the building as if there was a window in the room? (There isn’t- so there must just be holes.) Bathroom stank of urine and was disgusting. Paid for 2 nights but couldn’t handle another night in that room and just booked a hotel rokm. Honestly wouldn’t recommend unless you’re really desperate for a cheap bed.

The location was class to the Gymnastics Arena I wanted to see so that was convenient. Only 10min walk from the nearest train station. Good places to eat nearby. The check in and out was easy.

The room smelled like body odor and the bathroom was pretty gross. But for what I was paying, I guess I couldn't complain.

It was close to the subway station and Lotte Tower. The owner was nice.

It was pretty dingy and the bathroom was grimy. My room was dusty and there were many visible stains on my bedding and the pillow did not have a pillowcase. I got stared down by the old korean men who stayed there so that made me feel uncomfortable. The bathroom was not cleaned well. I would recommend this place if you just need a bed to stay for a night. But would not recommend this place for solo female travelers.

The location was okay easy to find near shops. The check in person showed me where things were. It is cheap.

I asked for a single room with air conditioning. There was no air conditioning and the door to my room did not lock you could push it open which is terrifying as a single woman in a co ed area. The walls are paper thin and had celotape keeping the plaster down and the bed was not big enough to lay flat on. Because of the noise and the lack of a lock I couldn't sleep.

The location was great, its nearby to supermarket and shops. Room was cheap and value-price and yes, the Wi-fi was excellent!

Room was private and enough for solo traveler,but sometimes around night can be too noisy with travelers at other room (not to mention you can hear many of their 'activities' at night!).

I had a room on my own.

It was minus during night and the room has NO HEATING!!! There is no sound isolation, the door has a window above, which is just a net. The owner said I got an upgrade, but it was actually the room I paid for. He said that also to others as I saw from reviews. The whole place is not just a hostel, but there are also a lot of old guys living there, so it has really weird feeling. It is super packed with small rooms. Toilet has window ventilation so basically you are showering on outside temperature ( super cold). I didn't even get a pillow sheet and place seems not clean. I would say go there if you are really on a budget, but prepare more layers of clothes for sleeping, night mask ( cause light comes in your room through not existing window above the door) and of course good ear plugs ( you really need it)!! I stayed there to go to Lotte world in the morning, but I was so tired cause I couldn't get any sleep.

Songpa Hostel was exactly what I expected insofar as I only needed a bed for the night after I had finished seeing the sights, eating and partying with friends. The electric blanket was appreciated and the staff were friendly enough (when I saw them)

The room didn't smell too fresh and I feel like it wasn't the safest place. A man entered my room, I assume mistaking it for his, even though I was sure I had locked the door. In the morning, a fellow guest was telling me how a similar thing had happened to him.

Quality equals price. We can't expect much for cheap hotels, right? But there is a kitchen if we want to cook. At least this is a choice for a traveler who doesn't have a lot of budgets. It's near to the subway. And the owner can speak English and really nice. So prepare cash and yourself if you want to sleep here.

That day I did not expect that I could not pay with a credit card so we had to go back and forth looking for the nearest ATM on GS25. The hotel owner also tried to help with the English skills he could. For a cheap price in Seoul, I can understand why the quality in hotels is like that. The mattress was not too soft, there were no blankets, no air conditioning except the fan, the wifi was very slow, the toilet was not too clean and we could not pay with a credit card. Also, the wall is really thin so we can hear another person next to our room. Even though I was a bit upset that Wi-Fi in my room was very slow, at least I had a place to sleep one night.

The staff was nice, he upgraded my room for the same price I booked it for, which was seriously so kind of him.

There aren't any windows in the rooms, so it gets VERY hot. I felt like it also had a dusty smell to it, one of the other people staying there, also didn't have a pleasant smell, so that mixed with the heat was... yeah. The shared bathroom was cleaner than I thought it would be, considering I never get shared bathrooms, but was in a particular dire situation at the time. Just a couple hairs here and there in the bathrooms, but I guess that's to be expected. Had a really questionable stain on the wall of my room by the bed. I just feel like the ventilation and dust was quite a problem. Had to make several trips to the water filter so I wouldn't wither away and become dehydrated. I was only there for a short time so it wasn't too bad (3 nights), but I don't think I would have been able to handle a longer stay.

I had an enclosed room with a lockable door. It was close to a subway station as well.

There was no A/C in the room which wouldn't be a big deal normally, but the room didn't have airflow. A/C was advertised. The bed was broken and pretty uncomfortable.

직원분이 친절하셨고 접근성이 좋음. 복도는 환기가 잘 되어서 시원하고 쾌적했음.

옛날 고시원을 사용해요. 4층, 5층이라 짐들고 올라가기 힘들어요. 청결부분에서 완전 실망 ! 대실망 ! ! 화장실 겸 샤워장도 제대로 안 갖춰져 있고, 냄새도 나요. ㅠㅠ 화장실에서 담배를 피우네요. 담배 냄새와 담배 꽁초가 있어요. 방음도 제대로 안되서 복도 지나가는 소리, 대화 나누는 소리가 들려 제대로 잠을 못자요. 예민한 사람은 무서울지도 ... ㅠㅠ 다시는 안가려구요.

너무 추웠다. 난방 안 됨. 감기걸릴 것 같아서 새벽에 나와서 찜질방 감. 다시는 안 감.

혼자 잘수있어 좋았습니다

술먹고 고암지르고해서 무서웠고, 외국사람들 너무시끄러워서 잠을 설쳤습니다. 무엇이듣지 달라고해야 주셨고. 너무 수동적입니다

호스텔이라고 보기 힘든 그냥 말로 설명하기 힘든처음가보는 신세계임 화장실 최악이고,,방에 에어컨 없고,,사장님은 친절했지만,,

저렴한 가격 / 친절한 직원 / 독방사용가능(고시원스타일) / 타올 있음 / 샴푸 린스 있음 - 칫솔치약은 가져 가야해요

시내이다 보니 밖이 시끄러울 수 있음 / 오래된 건물이라서 다소 오래된 건물 특유의 향이 남. 하지만 되도록 깨끗하게 관리하려고 노력하는 모습이 보였음 / 외국남자분들이 많이 이용하시는듯.. 여자분들 그런것에 민감하신 분들은 피하셔요.
